Top 5 Tools Apps on Android in Europe for Q1 2022

During the first quarter of 2022, the top five tools apps on the Android platform in Europe exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $158K in the final week of March. Downloads for the app showed a notable upward trend, reaching a high of 165K in the week of March 7. Active users also climbed steadily, peaking at around 1.08M in mid-March before a slight dip to 949K by the end of the quarter.

VPN & Antivirus by Kaspersky experienced fluctuating revenue, starting with around $91K at the end of December and dropping to approximately $66K by the end of March. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 84K in early January and decreasing to 58K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a slight decline from 742K in the first week of January to 685K by the end of March.

AVG AntiVirus & Security maintained a consistent revenue stream, peaking at approximately $66K in the week of March 21. Downloads increased notably in mid-March, reaching a high of 101K. Active users saw a gradual increase, peaking at around 1.39M in mid-March.

Avast Antivirus & Security had steady revenue, with a peak at around $58K in the week of March 21. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 136K in early January but dropping to around 83K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 2.25M throughout the quarter.

ESET Mobile Security Antivirus showed a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $52K in the week of February 28. Downloads remained stable, with a high of 30K in early January. Active users saw a slight increase, peaking at around 242K in early March before declining to 221K by the end of the quarter.
